The namespace I called Base is in the member area. This document is in the namespace default which is invoked with the tag WIKI.

In general the documents can be referenced anywhere that one wants. If I turn on auto linking, the docments will show up whenever their name is mentioned whether there is a tag or not.

What did you expect to see? Did you think it would be in the wiki area that I am displaying in the members only area? Default can be displayed anwhere we want it to be. It is in the IAC area for development convenience. It could have its view point moved to the members only area or anywhere else in the forum tree.

We can also make sub-namespaces, but I am not completely sure how that works yet. I was trying to do that when Base went to the members area.

Because of my fumbling around with that we get a database error (benign) any time someone looks at the table article.

I thought there were fewer controls than there are.

I will delete this discussion when I finish up tonight and open this to everyone.

What controls are you referring to?

There will be a link at the top of each forum (that needs one) to the associated wiki. When writing posts links will be created automatically when the title of a wiki article appears in the post. I will be running a scanner tonight to do that for all existing posts and will run the scanner about once a month to update old posts with new article references (if we have new articles).

The glossary function will be invoked manually by using the big green question mark button in the advanced and WYSIWYG editors.

I consider myself fairly bright and it has taken me nearly 3 weeks to work this all out.

Tom you may want to amend the posted strategic plan under the title line with a short comment along the way of : "Adopted by the Board of Direcors on [WHATEVER DATE]" because it may help the reader put things in perspective.

Things posted on webpages tend to linger there often long after they are current and relevantand I believe it is good practice to put either enactment dates and/or posting dates on such entries.

Incidently I personally believe the Stategic plan should be updated by the new board, preferably at their Dec 2009 meeting.

The wiki article will reflect the current strategic plan whenever the plan changes. However, the effective date is a good idea.

The 2007 - 2009 board voted changes at the December 2008 meeting, but those have not yet made it into the published plan. I copied the plan here from the main web site to give it a bit more visibility.
