Greetings Beetle -- There's a Zentka as well as a Zentra. But let's assume the latter as Zentra's semi-script German Z does resemble a pregnant 3. And the R, by the way, was usually also capitalized. ZentRa (according to the superb _Lexikon_ by Hans-Heinrich Schmid) was a firm founded in Berlin in 1928 (with no end date etc. given). They sold clocks, watches and jewelry made by various manufacturers under their own name. Regards, Duck. P.S. Any other name/mark on the movement?

" ZentRa mantle clock" I have one that's very similar in style. It's approx date of manufacture was 1955 or abouts. The movement should be a Franz Hermle. The one I have is a three train (Westminster Chime, Time, and Hour chime)and sounds close to a huge pipe style chime, though it only has 11 1/2 inch and smaller rods. My wife loves the sound too. If I could, I'd attach a pic with this. I found some info from the internet through "Google", it was limited though.kandcmcq@yahoo.com

It is Zentra, although I know nothing aboutr the company. I know they made an interesting small table clock with the Hettich floating balance (with a large round balance wheel slowly revolving below the dial)...

    Hi

I have a large mantle clock marked ZentRa on the dial. It came from my grandparents who lived in Hannover Germany. On the inside of the back door is a label marked Heddergott
Hannover-Ricklingen with a street address. I believe this is where the clock was purchased. It looks like it may be from the 1930's. The clock is an 8 day with Bim-Bam chimes.
