If I were to venture a guess I would say it is English in origin and about circa 1820ish. There are a ton of people here that know way more that I. Chris,

Any time up to 1840? Could it be Scottish rather than English?

An usual all over single colour dial. There appears to be a signature below 6, if so can you make it out? The style of the dial suggests to me it is before 1800, does the back of dial have a marker's mark?

Jonathan, do you think the blue is original? It seems to have been rather hastily applied, covering the edge of the white dial in places, which is what made me wonder.

Having a closer look I can see what you mean, so it is possible it has, the gold decoration looks to have been quite well done.

Trying to make out the name, I think I can see Tra at the start of the name, and castle at the end? There was a John Tranham of Newcastle, whose dates are listed as circa 1815, and a Joseph Trankle 1864.

I think I see a "c" as the third letter, and maybe a "k" next, so TICK...? Also are there any other ....castles? I think I am seeing ...lcastle.

In the last picture I think you can see "Newcastle"

I think I figured it out. "TICKLE NEWCASTLE" And the face looks a lot like another William Tickle clock, as does the mechanism.
