Year of manufacturing of a Lenzkirch tallcase clock?

I inherited from my grandfather a grandfather clock, of course!
At the back there is a serial number : 747445.
I found a site with serial numbers but none with six digits.
Could anybody explain what digits are significant?

Most serial numbers have little to do with anything other than
book keeping for the manufacture.
We can often do much better at giving you a range of
when it was manufactured with pictures, back
and front of the movement, without the dial.

The seriel number list of Lenzkirch clocks was developed many years ago by some clockies only by calculation. Since we have of the clock factory Lenzkirch no records, the number of the produced clocks was divided by a number of years and so all the clocks "dated". But since economic factors, but also sales crises in this bill can not be taken into account, the "Lenzkircher clock Friends" this list now have retreated.

As Tinker said, it is best, we see photos of the clock and the movement. That's enough for a rough estimate of when the clock has been made.
