I agree.I suspect that the lower panel, below the dial, is a replacement from an original glass.
The small area below the dial is actually much like a speaker cloth. It is full of many small holes in a design. In a glass cased clock like this it's about the only way the sound can come outWow, really beautiful Jim!
I don't think I've ever seen a glass case like this before.
Are those tiny nail heads making the design below the dial?
