Hi, I recently purchased this movement from a friend who contributes to the Forums. I rather like it and I think that all is needed to get it going is a clean and oil, Dial Repair, Fusee Chain, Hands etc. and a Case. The only William Johnstone that I can find is a William Johnstone who went Bankrupt in Glasgow in 1845. The movement is rather strange and is almost flat for most of the Dial and sharply rounds off at the edge. I have a couple of front wind Cases and I am hoping that one of them will be the right size for this movement. The movement has a Snail and a Hare at the ends of the Regulator Scale. I just tried the movement in one of my spare Cases and it dropped straight in. In the photo of the movement in the Case you can see the sharp curve at the outer edge of the Dial. I need a date for this maker please. Regards Ray 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpg 6.jpg 7.jpg
