Who do you think it is?
It is said to be the earliest known photograph of Abraham Lincoln, ca. 1840.
Wow. Must have been an early daguerreotype in that the daguerreotype was invented in 1939. Amazing that it has survived in such pristine condition as daguerreotypes were extremely fragile. Here is a link to a page on this topic: http://rogerjnorton.com/Lincoln85.html

Both sites claim to have the earliest photo of Lincoln.
By the way---Houdini---was just a shot in the dark. Wouldn't have guessed Abe in a hundred years though.
