I have this small pocket watch and can't seem to find anything about it. On the dial it has German Made and on the centre is the star of david with an S in it and below that is EX-EL. The movement also has german made and there is a symbol of 3 anchors linked. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks

daddypea,
I moved your inquiry from the American Pocket Watch section to the European section.
Thanks,

This appears to be the German equivalent to the "dollar" watch. No jewels, pin lever, conical balance pivots, stem wind, pin set. Watches of this sort were typically made by the millions. I believe the Ingersoll company, producer of "dollar" watches produced nearly 100 million of them. There were likely enough of your type that someone will come along that knows something about them.

The Ex-El trade mark belongs to Stahlecker's Manufacturers (6 Christoph Street, Finsbury Sq, London, England; founded 1890).
The movement is from Thiel in germany.
