Hi this is my first post.I have bought a lovely gilt clock sits on a blue velevet plinth with a glass dome to go over. Now I have found what I believe to be the maker which is Richard es cie (Richard and co) But the case has a stamp on the back showing what looks to be a foundry with the letters A.V.B these letters are my problem.Would any one know what they stand for.I have searched but so far nothing.Kind regards Albert

Moran,

to get a better response to your question, you really should post on the "clocks" section, and post a picture or two. Sounds like a french clock and there are quite a number of people who talk abouit them on the "clocks" section.

I just happened to look here by sheer chance, don't normally.

One of the Moderators might move this over there, for you.

Welcome to the forum, Moran.

I'm going to move your thread to the Clocks forum as laprade suggests. You should get better response there.
