Which chains are ideal for wearing a pocket watch?

I'm seriously thinking about wearing a 1912 Waltham Bond Street as a daily wearer but I'm wondering which chains members would recommend to prevent it falling to the floor?

I find vintage chains to be of better quality than contemporary ones...

My suggestion - search on ebay for "10 pocket watch chains lot". Buy up one of these mixed lots. You're sure to find at least 1 chain whose style, colour and size will look nice with your watch.
