    Hi All,
I picked up this interesting little Gilbert at the Chapter 8 mart a few weeks back.
I cant find a rack and snail movement like this on ebay.
Just an aside, they are some real great folks, my wife and I spent a wonderful day with them!

I would like to get a new strike side main wheel fabricated.
I don't think this one can be repaired.
Can anyone recommend where I might have this done.
I just need the teeth cut, I would like to do the rest of the work myself.

    Thanks

i would try bending those teeth back... and if some of them didn't make it i'd do some tooth repair.

check out this thread before you rule out doing it yourself: How to make a dovetail for replacing a wheel tooth

even a yutz like me has done this successfully... just sayin'

If you want the wheel made, talk to David LaBounty. He does excellent work, and will let you know what he needs from you. He also has an impressive bone pile (spare parts) and might be able to get you another wheel.

Thanks Shutterbug! Harry H. has kindly offered to fabricate the wheel at a very reasonable cost.
