bought a bunch of clock stuff, and in it was a couple things that werent what i expected, so thought id post one on here to see if its even clock related. the opening is around 4 inches around .

Could have had a clock in it. Does it stand up freely or does it have a hook on the back for wall hanging?

none of the above. My guess is it may have been held in by a movement, but its heavy and solid brass.

Might be a frame for a door entry lock if the opening is about an inch and a half in diameter. Ah, never mind, I see now it is too big.-Cort

odds are something like that would be plated, not solid brass. Im thinking a clock face and movement, and it came with clock stuff.
