Hello , every so often i come across a movement that is stained from whatever.after trying different solutions(pun intended) , the stains still remain...Just the other day i finished an old Benrus An15 movment, runs perfect, problem is whoever cleaned it last used something that stained it, no finger prints though, just something that doesn't want to come off... Does anyone have any remedy for this?? I am pretty sure it isn't my cleaner..plus the stain wouldn't come off when i pre cleaned and pegged the movement in the first place

What cleaning solution do you use?

I have seen similar effects but I believe some anti-oxidation agents in the cleaning solution seemed to improve the situation...

Can we have a picture of one of the discolored plates?
