Hello, I am a relatively new clock collector. Can someone tell me what kind of movement is shown in the attached pictures? I see that this is a mechanical clock because it has two winders in the face. But then I see a battery on the movement. Is this some kind of a hybrid movement? I would greatly appreciate any and all detail and information you can tell me about this. Thank you!

That is a kind of hybrid movement from the mid 1980s, I think it says '85, made by Hermle, with a battery time train and wind up strike and chimes. They must not have been very much of a success I've only seen one other than yours. I do have an advertisement for those in a magazine here somewhere if I can find it Ill post it here.
