    Hi all,

I have a question regarding this Omega wrist watch bracelet. The watch is gold and stainless steal Omega DeVille Symbol ladies watch. But the links on the bracelet have this composition: What would that be considered? Gold overlay? Gold fill? Thank you very much

It looks gold capped to my eye.

Adam Harris and Tomxhar Thank you for the answers. I am not familiar with capped gold (like on teeth? :)). But thank you for the expertise. I agree whatever it is it is not solid.

Gold capped is a process using two thin sheets of gold and mechanically bonding them to the base metal. There is a distinction between Rolled Gold Plate(1/20 gold content) and Gold Filled (at least 1/20 gold content) by the overall weight of the object. It should have a mark somewhere that states the fractional weight of the gold used.
