I know HR and other watch tool manufacturers produced equipment with dubious utility to the watchmaker trying to earn a living. This tool was part of my father's watch tool equipment. I don't recall ever seeing him use it, but surely it had some purpose in mind...Seeing how the tapered tip slides past both holes on the face, I'm thinking it's a mini-guillotine for cutting solder or an over-built canon pinion indent tool. Your guesses or knowledgable comments are always appreciated...Bill

I could be way wrong, but i would say a tool to tighten a cannon pinion.

Bracelet tube cutter? A quicker way to shorten bracelet ends than those filing blocks?
