What is the definition of an American watch? RE: Tweety Bird

    Obviously there is a well thought out(serious) answer for this question, but
    I posted in this section because I'm only asking half hearted.

    If a watch is designed in the US, by a US based company, made for the US market,
    and has a Japanese quartz movement, what is it. I had wanted to post this watch
    as kind of a joke in the American pocket watch section as a "RR Watch"
    but thought it may be inappropriate.

    A few months ago I bought this 22 year old hunter case "RR watch"
    that keeps absolutely perfect RR time for $2.34(with free shipping), and
    it even has a hack feature and a "real" RR dial.
    OK(I know) it's not a real RR watch, but it does have Tweety.

    At least to me, an American watch is one made by a company here in the US with a USA made movement. If the movement is Japanese or Chinese, it is definitely not an American watch, otherwise it is a foreign movement made for the American market, just like a Swiss movement in an American case.

    And Tweety IS wearing a "railroad" cap and there ARE railroad themed pictures on the dial, so it must be a railroad watch, right? o_O:)

    Since "railroad" is strictly a word only in America, it obviously must be an American watch. And I believe that Tweety was born in America and therefore has de facto US citizenship.

    How much more provenance do you need?
