What can you tell me about this Tiffany split chronograph?

It's marked Tiffany &Co. New York on the dial, movement and a heavy 18K case. Was it made in the Tiffany factory?
It's serial number 17,586 on the case and movement. If not Tiffany, who would have made this movement
and what would it's age be? This is the first split chronograph Tiffany I have seen and foreign watches are kind of out
of my expertise but this one functions perfectly and the asking price is only around gold value, so I think this one is
going to be a keeper. TiffDial.jpg TiffMove.jpg tiffcase.jpg

I love the numerals on the dial - they look very Tiffany, so it may be a special dial for them. From the font, I'd guess the watch dates about 1910-20.

I have seen a few split second Tiffanys before, and they do fetch big money. I think I'm right in saying that Tiffany's own made movements are all signed wih their name, so probably this is not made by them. They seem to have used a variety of Swiss makers. If no-one here can identify your maker, it would be worthwhile writing to the Tiffany museum - they may have records for later pieces.
