Saw this clock locally at auction, but it had few pictures and was described only as "Antique Mahogany Veneered Pendulum Clock" I was attracted to it because I was sure it was a long drop, and after a little research discovered Welch Verdi, which looked like a real close match.

Sure enough it is, The label is on the back of the clock! Brought it home, hung it up, and it runs and strikes as it should. Runs quiet, and has a nice deep gong.

Not a bad deal for $20! Veneer and finish deserves a little attention, (okay a lot). But now wondering what the proper second hand should look like, and where to find one. I've seen several examples, all different.

Gave the case a lick and a promise, and found a second hand for it.

This has almost become my favorite clock lately. Now I'm wondering about the run time. I'm getting 14 15 days out of it. I thought it was an 8 day clock?
