I hope this post doesn’t violate any forum rules, but I want to give a shout-out to one of our members here at NAWCC who recently fabricated a piece of decorative banding that was missing from my recently purchased Tiffany French crystal regulator clock (see attached photos).
I purchased the clock with the intention of restoring its beautiful but badly tarnished case. As some may remember, I posted an inquiry here about a month ago asking if anyone knew where I might find a section of the missing banding, or who might be able to custom make banding. NAWCC member Eclectic Oddities responded and eventually took on the challenge of fabricating a new piece of banding for me. He used a section of my existing banding to create a mold, and then cast a complete duplicate piece. As shown in the attached pictures, the results were outstanding, far exceeding my expectations. The whole process was a great experience.
