Benrus generally used the better quality ebauches but any watch in a rolled gold case is valued on the condition of the case. Since the gold rubs off, not much of that is left. Mostly the value in such watches is sentimental.
There are collectors of these but the reason is that these watches give a lot for the money. Similar ones are shown in the Shugart price guide for $75. I suspect that is a bit high. Auction houses usually sell these in lots of 4 to 12 at an average price of about $20 each.
The current price of gold is high enough that the watch and band may have $50 worth of gold.
The problem is that teh cost of sellingor processing is higher than these values unless you ahve a lot fo them.
