Hello I am new here and am wanting to fix an heirloom pocket watch case. I have a vintage pocket watch where the hinge tube is ripped off the cover. The tube is also long gone. I would like to know If there is anyone in the Milwaukee, WI area that could repair this. Perhaps a Laser Welder.
    thanks

I'd run this by your local jeweler. I think they'd be able to gold solder it almost invisibly.

A good jeweler will be able to remove the old hinge, solder new tubes on and install a new hinge pin.

I had brought it to a local jeweler and they cannot repair it, I checked with all other jewelry repairman in the area and they cannot fix it either. Do you know of anyone I could possibly send it to?

I suggest that you talk to Leon Harris of Livingston TN. His email address is harrislj@msn.com, and he tends to answer his email in batches so be a little patient. I've sent several problems to him and his work is prompt and first class.
