Patrician -
I am looking for Waltham watches marked with the “Patrician” private label. These were made in several sizes (ladies' and men's watches) and grades for the case maker H.W. Matalene. I am especially interested in complete watches, but also want to buy any movements or partial movements. Many of these will be in special patent cases (see next post).

-- Even if not for sale, I would love information on these movements or watches for my research.

Patent cases -
I am seeking Waltham watches in special gold or platinum cases made by H.W. Matalene. These may be pocket watches, pendant watches or wrist watches (men’s and women’s). His cases are not signed but usually bear one of these patent dates: APR.20.09 or APR.16 ’12
The patents refer to special setting mechanisms and case construction (that may or may not be present).

I am also doing research, for publication, on Waltham watches for Bigelow, Kennard & Co. (Boston). In this regard I am also reviewing the history of this jewelery firm, founded in 1830. I would like to acquire examples of some of the earlier imported English movements, preferably cased (but not necessary). These would be marked "John Bigelow", "Bigelow & Brothers", Bigelow Brothers & Kennard" or "Bigelow, Kennard & Co.".
