My latest acquisition was a new one for me. I collect Waltham Riverside-grade movements/watches and an 0-size Riverside has eluded me for quite some time ... I was just never very aggressive about it. It wasn't until I got this one home that I realized it had something special about it. Any guesses what surprised me?
Jerry, here is another one with the same jewel setting as yours. Close serial number, different grade. A Maximus, same model.

The listing has ended.

Thanks, Kevin. It looks like a short-lived experiment in alternate jeweling methods. Illinois did this, too, on some watches.
