Hello,
another new purchase, I'm not sure on this one, I think possibly French, or Black Forest, no makers name.
A label on the rear Thomas Eames Paddington, Reverse painted dial & R & A in pendulum on glass, quality heavy spring wound works, with countwheel

The clock looks German, early 20th century to me.

It appears that the 'business card' of Eames was attached to the back of the case. I assume the clock made its way to the U.K. at some point early in its life and was most likely serviced by Eames.

Other may have different opinions.

Regards.

IMO the mvmt. is french per the general layout , the fine quality of craftsmanship and the escapement ( inside type of Brocots steel pallet esc. )
Just the square version of a "pendule de Paris" type.

I'd also say the movement is French, nice case. A Thomas Eaves is listed in London 1875-81.

Looking at the design of the count wheel, French. With a gong and not having a rack, late 19th C which fits into it being sold by Eames.

Hello Everyone, thank you for your repiues it's appreciated.
I've had a bit of a time cleaning the clock works, the old oil has gone like amber, I've just managed to get it running & striking.
It wasa task but worth saving, The pendulum has come up well.
I've found a makers stamp in the front plate, can anyone tell me who made it. H.L.F Brevette sgdg.
I'm really happy for the help I've received on the forum, good on you all, Thank You

Sgdg mean 'sans garantie du Gouvernement' (without government guarantee)

HLF was probably the finisseur of the movement or perhaps the importer.
