    Hi,
My wife recently came across her mum's old Rotary watch.
We believe it to be gold and hallmarked. (pic attached).
I was wondering id anyone had a clue as to the history/value of the watch.
    Many thanks

    Welcome to the board.

Please show us photos of the watch itself and the movement ('the works'). That will enable folks to give you some answers.

Showing the bracelet alone doesn't help much. The bracelet seems to be marked for 9 carat but the photo is not very sharp and I cannot make out the hallmarks.

    Hi John, and welcome,

The hallmarks on the bracelet only apply to that part, not the whole watch, but I think the date letter is an 'i', which for London is 1964/5. Does that date tie in with the known history? As JTD says, some clear pictures of the whole watch and its movement will help a lot.

    Regards,

    Graham

    Hi,
Silly of me not to include a pic of the watch itself!!
Hope this could provide more clues to the identity of the watch.
The date 1964/5 would be about right.
    Thanks for your coments,
    John.

What further information are you looking for exactly? Not quite sure what you mean by 'identity of the watch'. You know the maker and you have a good idea of the date. The bracelet seems to be 9 carat gold.

There's not much else to say unless you want some details of the movement. For that, please show some photos of the movement.
