I was looking at a stereoview vintage photo that I own circa 1880-1900, I noticed that the woman
was wearing pocket watch on wrist

Ok so what is the story with these photos then... Are they modelling the watches or what?

I guess someone can post a vintage one, but this is the type you
can buy today to make a pocket watch a wrist watch

My image is from a cabinet card of a young couple. If you couldn't afford a new wrist watch, you made do with what you had. wesunion.jpg

It looks like the photographer, Henry Bown (and later his son), was in business in London from about 1870-1940 (some confusing data / detail about the start date) ... Henry also had at least one patent for a photographic process in 1892.
