very heavy 18s watch case

hi,i have a very heavy 18s watch case,it has very thick glass crystal, 61mm outside diameter,and a very heavy bow,marked inside the back cover it reads ALASKA SILVER. does anyone know who made this watch case and how old it is. thanks.

ok thank you for the info,the case is in good condition, but the bow is loose. would this case be ok for a 18s 21 jewel bunn special made in 1897

Similar nickel cases, Alaska Metal, were sold by Sears, Roebuck & Co., circa 1908. So, that's not too much of a stretch for a watch whose approximate production date is 1897.
