Hi all.

How much is this watch worth and how old is it?

It is 0.900 silver.

Regards Ceedjay

ceedjay,
The Silver case should be hallmarked and if you post a good clear picture of them it will date the case and say where it was made.

I do not think the silver hallmarking makes much difference. This is a well made but not super high grade item with a register. My value model gives it $625 but I doubt it it would sell that high. I suspect a dealer feel fortunate to get $400 and offer $250.

A comparable wrist watch today would go for about $2000.

Jim,

It will tell very little if they are Swiss hallmarks, and they clearly can't be English with that purity mark.

Graham

These chronographs were made for a long time. My guess is that it as around 1900 to 1930 but it could be earlier or later. As Graham wrote ,if it has hallmarks they are likely Swiss and only broadly dateable by the tyoe of mark rather than a date letter.. Moeris is a Swiss brand and marked Avance and Retard on the regulator as well as Fast and Slow suggest it could have been for either English or French speaking markets.
