Patricia a picture would help, I do not know of a US Clock Co of Illinois-their was a United States Clock Co in New York City in the mid to late 1800's-they were part ot the Terhune and Edwards Clock Co. Their clocks were very elaborate in case and movement design, the ones I have seen were all large wall clocks. If your clock has a label or signed movement it would be very interesting to see.

Kelly, if it is your intention to establish that there was a U.S. Clock Co. in Illinois, you have confused the names. The one in Peru, Illinois, was the United Clock Co., not the U.S. Clock Co.

You are correct. I was trying to signify the difference as well.
