• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

This watch was at an archaeological search of an old California cattle ranch homestead site. Dial was completely corroded but works were well preserved but bear no markings on the surface of the movement or on the snap-on rear case. Looking to identify and date this watch for historical purposes.

Face completely corroded but able to see this watch had a second dial below the minute/hour hands. Case appears to be steel. Hands terminate with a narrow point after a diamond shaped cutout.

Sorry to be so pedestrian but I am new to the pocket watch world.

Closest version I can find scouring the web is the New Haven "Buddy" dollar watch. It has the right case, stem, fob ring. I see some indications that these were manufactured 1946-1956. Possible during WW2 as well?
