tower movement

Does amyone here know of a tower clock movement for sale thats in the $1000-2000 range.Will take one in need of repair or missing parts.Thanks

Sorry if my price range was low but Im on a limited budjet.I know what these things go for.I guess if you knew where such a movement was it would be yours.I want one very bad and would be willing to travel and have to make parts.I want one for my collection not to make money on.Any help would be appreciated.

Really want a tower clock? Seek out one installed in a public building, get involved in it's maintenance. Once the proprietors are convinced that you are the right man for the job, It will be yours to maintain for the rest of your life.

I have access to 2.One is in the local court house and the other is at the colllage that was founded in 1837.The university movement does not have hands but cimes a bell on the quarter.Gigantic bell under a dome over wood with slatted windows.I belive the dome is copper but they have it painted.Like to get a look at the one in the court house.The last time they had it serviced there was a write up in the paper and I think the guy that fixed it was from chicago.Might have been Columbus but I dont think so.The one at the university is keep by a custodian of the un. but he doesnt work on it.Just wind and oil.I am going to ask to see the one at the court house and try and worm my way in since they have no repairman.Also the UN. movement.Its been my dream for a long time to own one but havent found one yet.I always look foe churches old buildings anywhere there might be one.Every time I see a run down building with a tower I ask but no luck so far.Most gone one not for sale.I just missed one by a mounth that they sold for $200.Just my luck.I might have to build one myself.I have several plans
