Our next meeting will be this coming Sunday, and it should be an especially interesting one. First, we are going to repeat our"Ugly Clock Contest". Dig through that back cupboard whereyou placed the "one you shouldn't have" and bring it along.A Tim's voucher will be yours if you have brought the ugliestone.Second, member Eytan Bloom , who specializes in collectingtimepieces made for the Mid-East market will share hisknowledge and experience with us at the workshop. If youare unfamiliar with these watches, you will be in for a real treat as the "Ottoman" market was very important to highend watchmakers in England and the continent for centuries. These watches (and clocks) hold a unique place in thehorological world. You'll be sure to be entranced and informed by his presentation.
Once again, we will hold a "First Aid Clinic" after the workshop for you to interact with other members regarding a restoration problem you may be having or some other aspect of research you may be doing that you require assistance with. Bring along your timekeeping problem and see if our discussion can get you on the right track.Remember parking is free at the hotel but please make sure you sign the register to avoid having a problem. In addition, remember that the hotel offers a breakfast buffet for $10.See the hotel registration desk to take advantage of this offer. While mentioning the hotel, they are offering a special rate to our members for overnight accommodation. You may wish to take advantage of this particularly for our May meeting. They have a special rate of $89 per room or for $99 they will upgrade the room to include free overnight parking and free breakfast for each person in the room (regularly $10 per person).

Come on out as the members are great guys. A lot of very knowledgeable people if you have any questions.

Although it might be a bit intimidating if you do not know anyone we all have a common interest in clocks and watches.

The First Aid Clinic is a nice way to get various of opinions on problems you might have with your latest project.
