• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

I have recently added electric clocks to my collection I have SWCC, Junghans ATO,and a few advertising wall clocks. I have a few questions concerning the never wind. Is there something to look out for like the transistors on the ATO? I see most of the never winds with damage to the battery compartment,is this difficult to repair and what kind of battery and voltage do they require? What king of "nightmares" do you run into repairing these?

These clocks run on 4.5 volts. You can remove the bracket that is there if it is very bad. Then you can add a twin battery holder and a single battery holder in there and wire them in series. Sometimes you can hold them in with the existing battery retainer with a little bending. The contacts are critical and can not be worn out. Also, the suspension shouldn't have any kinks in it.

Try taking the back cover off and starting the pendulum and see if it catches one one swing and then lets go on the return swing.

I could send you a picture if you would like.
