Looking for any information on this clock. It belongs to a friend of mine that found it, in a box, in his Grandfathers attic. I've never seen one that has a plug for 120v. Any info would be appreciated.
The owner of the clock is not looking to restore it, as it runs well. He was just looking for information about it. He said an appraiser (unknown) told him, 5 years ago, that it was very rare & worth $6,000. After I recently saw the clock, my thought was that he was mislead. I never saw a tiffany clock like this & was unsuccessful with all my searches. Thank you for the information. This is not original with the 120 volt conversion movement.
What you have is basically an original case with a dial.
Could possibly be restored if you can find a donor original movement and pendulum with
associated parts.
The case is uncommon, so there's value in that, but without the original battery-powered movement and correct pendulum, the appraiser was way off.The owner of the clock is not looking to restore it, as it runs well.
