My wife almost did me in today. She put the mail on my desk, one bill from the power company. Checked my email, said the masonic watch dial I ordered had been delivered. I checked everywhere but nowhere to be found. Out of curiosity, I looked in the garbage, mixed in with the junk mail was an envelope with the dial in it. Can't understand how a large manilla envelope eluded her eyesight, but thankfully I rescued it before I accused someone of stealing it.

Accidents can happen, glad the dial did not get lost.

Reminds me of a watch that I lost about 20 years ago. I was in the process of moving from Illinois to Colorado and a rare valuable Aurora was unaccounted for. Several years after I moved my Uncle was visiting and sitting on our couch. He noticed behind the cushions a watch. Voila!
