I just recently picked up this G M Wheeler token that I thought
was fairly cool. If anyone has this watch they can have this token for free.

Has anyone ever seen a matched watch and token? I'm sure there has to be someone out there who reunited the pair, or one that was kept with it's watch since purchase.

Less than a year ago, a watch and medal with matching serial numbers was listed on eBay. Unfortunately, the seller's asking price was unreasonably high, and I do not believe it sold.

Here is my latest B W Raymond circa 1873-1874 it's in decent
shape but may take a bit to get it running again if ever (photos used by permission)
It's actually my first B W Raymond Token.

the highest quality production grades that have a token at the time of Robs would be Rubie and Raymond. A few years later you can add the grade 46 (14s, nickel, 15J, adjusted).


The 71 (8 size, nickel, Adjusted, 17 jewels) is certainly in serial number range, but I don't know if it had tokens like those other three. Maybe someone else has seen one for it?

had my wires crossed.

I always find it interesting that Rulau classifies the G.M. Wheeler variation as "C.M. Wheeler." [IL-EL-6L]

I will have to see if I have others, but here's one for a C.M. Wheeler.

I should have known better, but referred to my token as a C.M. Wheeler in post #5 of this thread. .
However, if you look at the tokens, the "tail" on the G isn't nearly as clear as the "tail" on the G in Elgin - in fact, it definitely looks more like the C in Co on the token. Having said that, do all numismatic references have C. M., or are there some with G. M.?

This one is a bit worse for wear, but I grabbed it to pull the serial from it.

542627 lines up with grade 12. So theoretically this would have been an ENWCo marked 11 jewel 18 size keywinder.
