Could someone who has a copy of George Daniels book, "The Art of Breguet", answer a couple of questions for me ?
Being an older publication, is the quality of the photos, drawings etc. comparable with that of modern books ?
I've found some older books have photos etc. that look pretty dire compared with more recent publications.

Secondly, was David Penney involved in the artwork, as he was with "Watchmaking" ?

    Thanks
    Ralph B.

The book (from 1975) is largely black and white photographs, there are 12 colour plates. The density is up to eight photographs per page and this tends to a lack of contrast rather than out of focus/fuzzy. The drawings are larger and crystal clear.
Regarding David Penney, he does not seem to get a mention. The designer is Paul Sharp.
Does the quality compared to a book from 2012 impinge on the enjoyment, not for me!
If you are worried you need to see a copy.
    Just my 2c!
