The age of the clock

Hi there,

My brother have this clock but he is not sure of the age of the clock. The seller said it was made in the 1890s but I see the movement is still bright and shiny.
Please help to identify it's age. Your advice is much appreciated

I see the movement is still bright and shiny.
Sorry to say it, but the movement really isn't 'bright and shiny'. In photo #2 I can see dirt and oil on all the pivots and some of the pivot holes look quite worn.

It's a nice clock but badly in need of a thorough cleaning and overhaul.

Hihi, yes you are right but I realy meant that for a hundred year machine, it still looks bright . You are so proffesional.
