    Hello, Clock Lovers!

I have a couple of hopefully simple questions.

I'm trying to find a home for a Terry type 1.111 wood movement. This is a short pendulum movement. I know that this movement is appropriate for either an Eli Terry or an Eli Terry and Sons pillar and scroll. So...

When were these movements first made?
How long were these movements made?
Were they used in anything other than P&S cases?
    Are these movements commonly found?

Many thanks for your help! I hope these are not ridiculously elementary questions to all of the true experts out there!

    Best,

    George

    Hello George,

Per Clocknuts id chart - Terry 1.111 movements were used in Mark Leavenworth & Son clocks.

Snowden Taylor's Bulletin article lists Lot Goodspeed as using this movement.

Thanks for the help, Andy! Do you know if this movement was used by Terry and/or Terry and Sons themselves as well? The chart specifies only that they are the maker, and I hope I have assumed correctly that they were also users...

    Thanks,

    George Nelson

    Hello George,

I always question the obvious answers, and would be curious with what other folks write.

    Hi, Folks,

Just rereading some of my questionable posts. To clarify this thread: The original Snowden Taylor wood movement identification sheet that has been converted by Timesavers to a very usable and convenient EXCEL Spreadsheet, and is available on this Board, lists both makers and users. If a maker is listed without users (as in the case of Riley Whiting movements, for example), the the maker is the ONLY user. If a maker is listed along with users, then the movement in question will be found in products of all of the listed names, both makers and users. I'm so sorry for my stupidly worded and confusing initial questions!

    With apologies,:bang:
