Thanks Eric for the info on my now , JUF identified torsion. I see that it has a temperature compensating pendulum. I cannot for the life of me research how that works. I did find, new to me, about TC conventional pendulums. Now I would like to have one of those. But I really don’t know how this works on a torsion pendulum. Anyone?

Hi turboflyer,

Your clock has a standard JUF disk pendulum. For some reason clocks were stamped with certain patent numbers during the time the patents were valid even though they did not come with the patented item. Advertising shows that the pendulum identified by the patent was available as an option.

Sorry for the confusion.

Eric

about the temp compensation...
I am convinced it would never work.

and why am I laughing?

I am going to need to go look it up.
someone here said 400 day clocks are crazy.
I am beginning to understand why he said it.
