    I have a watch I inherited 10 years ago by A. Golay-Leresche & Fils of Geneva 18kGold. Uses a key to wind.
I have the original case it came in.

The number inside the case is 11499.

    Welcome to the board.

Can you post a photo of your watch?

Welcome to the Message Board, CatFitz :)

That looks like a high-class case - very Geneva! My guess is that it is 14K or 18K solid gold, with what looks like niello work (black enamel). You should have a Swiss assay mark on the inside of the baxk cover (facing the winding and setting holes in your fourth photo) and also the inside of the cuvette (the cover facing the movement in your sixth photo). I can't make out ahy assay mark because of reflections, but straight-on photos might help! A 14K assay mark would include a squirrel, and 18K would include a female head profile.

The winding key is surely original too, and a great accessory to have, as is the orignal box! Golay-Leresche may have been the retailer rather than the actual make of the watch, by the way, but Golay alone is a famous name in Swiss watchmaking. The condition of the whole watch is wonderful, and it may never have been worn.

Also the watch is definitely pristine. It hasn’t seen the light of day for 20 years.
Because I am downsizing my home I’m going through boxes of stored items.
