For those of us find it impossible to attend the Convention...would it be possible for members to read these speeches by our members who may be far advanced in the field of Horology than the bulk of the NAWCC membership.

I am afraid as leaders of this horologic organization...they often do not take in consideration the average member like me...cannot attend due to impairment of health, travel distance or other considerations.

Far to often, the members who keep this National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors afloat are overlooked.

Interesting comments Dan. I wonder how many members are not within reasonable travel distance due to what ever reason.

I too would like to either see it streamed live or recorded so I could watch when convenient.

I would expect that the majority are not able to attend.

Streaming live would be an excellent way of communicating, not only to the members, but to the potential members that the organization is attempting to join.

    For sure Dick.

The reason for a recorded version is that a lot of our members are on a different time zone.

    Good afternoon, All!

I see I did something strange with my cutting and pasting here. The talk by Stan Boyatzis got separated from its time and place.

    The correct entry would be:

    FRIDAY, JUNE 19
    International Carriage Clock Chapter
10:30 am Tennessee River Room (M)
    Stan Boyatzis: Breguet's Carriage Clocks

    Sorry for the slip-up!

    Best regards!

It is my understanding that as many of the presentations as possible will be recorded by the Program Committee, edited, and posted on-line for viewing. Not all presenters permit recording, and we may not have enough cameras and camera operators to cover all the presentations being held simultaneously, but we will do our very best to provide these talks to our members as soon after the Convention as possible.

Some of the presenters may be reprise their topic as a webinar after the Convention.

The NAWCC currently has three more camcorders on their wishlist to help in these situations, so if you feel inclined to donate, send a check in any amount with "For purchase of video equipment" or some such wording in the notes section to the attention of Steve Humphrey at the National Association offices and he will see that it is properly allocated.

Live streaming is extremely expensive and very few venues have the bandwidth available for this technology. Thus, we record, edit, and post on-line.
