Had some incredible luck today in coming home from a local House Tag Sale with a Welch No11 Jewelers Regulator. This clock has been on these peoples wall for the last 40 years. This clock is 100% correct straight and right. Just love that deep dark rich patina on the wood. Being the 1st one in the door and heading straight to the clock and pulling the tag. I can say this is my 1st and only clock deal. Not to shabby for three and a quarter clams...I also snagged another clock from the sale that i have no idea about and it was a real bargain too..

Nice find, a clock many collectors dream of.
And you got it at a very reasonable price.

Here is a few more pictures of this welch. Sorry about the reflections in glass as i was using a flash. Just love that crusty original patina on this clock. I have finally figured out that clocks that have not been refnished are very scarce..

Without taking a position one way or the other, I have to ask what your basis is for this observation. What do you mean by "refinished?"

Not sure I would call it a Jewelers regulator, without a weight driven movement, Jerry. But it does have a nice 30 day double spring movement. Good deal.

Once again Jerry, I'm green with envy. Congrats on a beautiful clock at a steal of a price.

The movement above is a double spring, 30 day, time only one.

(See Harold's post no. 8 above).
