I couldn't believe this one.
My Rockford 575 was running great, for a few hours, and would then stop. I took it apart several times looking for the problem, and then I noticed this (pictured): the T-end of the mainspring was protruding through the hole at the back of the barrel, and when it rotated under the center wheel, it locked in the teeth.
I hate T-ends.
