Swiss fake?

This watch is at auction and I believe it is a Swiss fake as opposed to a genuine Waltham Mod 1857. What do you folks think? And what are the clues? For me the plates are an odd color or tone and the writing looks a bit off compared to the real deal.

In my opinion (been wrong before though) it is a pretty nice looking Swiss Fake. They should have used a Steel Balance-wheel (for that early serial number), not the expansion balance that they did,, that would have made it even a better try

Thanks for the replies. It is interesting the variety of quality you have with Swiss fakes some are quite good.

The real one would have a large steel balance . Very nice fake in it's own right if it is. The numbers are just way to low. Just my opinion. It would have to be looked at carefully.

The gilding is off as it usually is with Swiss fakes. Too light. I have P. S. Bartlett #30056 on my bench at the moment. The plates are much richer in color.
