    Im in need of a coil or a coil assembly #K104A for a CROSA quartz swinger (China) Anyone aware of a parts source?

    I've got the same issue. I haven't tried it yet, but am considering using the coil and board from a cheap quartz pendulum movement to see if it will work.

    Merritt's sells them.
    make sure your not using energizer batters.

    Bob and SB: Thanks for the info. Yes Merritts has a ckt board with coil(s) attached, part # 110CB $7.50.

    The negative post is deferent than other battery's . If its a time only clock, it doesn't seem to matter, but, if it has a pendulum, plays music, chimes, or anything more than keep time, some part of it will not work. There's been a lot of quartz clock thrown away because of them. It pains me to say this but the Japanese battery's are slightly longer than American battery's , and they work better in quartz clocks.

    That's typically a problem with Hermle quartz movements. I haven't run into it with any other types of quartz movements.

    A mechanical problem.
    There are a number of ways to fix it but much simpler
    to just use a different battery.
