    Does anyone know of an definitive article, or book, which deals with suspension springs of all types? Thanks in advance, Fred

    None that I know of, Fred. Timesavers catalogue is pretty good at having actual sizes that you can lay the old one on to compare. But when dealing with a clock that's totally missing it's suspension, it helps to have an assortment to choose from (often trial and error to find the best fit). For 400 day clocks, the book 400 Day Clock Repair Guide does have very good information that is needed to pick the right suspension for your clock.
