• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

How do I size the suspension spring for an early 1960's Kundo electric impulse clock? I have recently obtained two of these, one with the 6-jewel movement, one with the later (cheaper) no jewel movement and both need new springs One is torn, producing tremendous lateral movements in the pendulum when the pawl engages, the other is an obvious replacement that is the wrong size. I have a 3rd unit, in good working condition, and when I try to match the spring found in it up with the ones I see in the Timersaver catalog, I do not see a fit.

I have three questions at this point. First, it there a reference book for these types of electric impulse clocks like the Horolovar 400 day book. Second, if I have to choose a spring that is a best match, it better to chose one that is too wide or one that is too long for such an application. And finally, third, does anyone happen to know a the stock replacement part size for this type of clock.

I am finding this board to be a tremendous resource as I get into more details with these clocks. Many thanks to all the invest the time and effort to keep it running.

Hi, DC. I have used the Timesavers suspension spring (part # 12011) on these with good results. There doesn't seem to be more than one type listed anywhere for Kundo. If this isn't the right size for your clock, you may have to fabricate one yourself using the original as a guide. I don't know of any repair manual that would help with these. They seem to be a reliable little clock when set up properly.

I must be blind, there it clearly says "for Kundo Elec Clocks" on the printed page. I was looking at the ones above it and just did not see it. Many thanks.

I would like to repeat my other question, is there any reference book for these types of electric impulse clocks?
