I just bought this clock and I want to restore it. The question is, is there a way to bring the dial back to it's original white color? The clock works.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This clock came from The Muscogee County School System here in Georgia. The box was dated 1954

I can't tell from the picture...what is the dial made with. Is it painted?

You might check the threads that watch folks have posted about cleaning a watch dial. There are some good suggestions there.

There is a topic section of this message board dedicated to Reverse Glass and Dial Painting. You may get more interest and replies if this is posted there. But don't make a new thread - ask a moderator to move this one.
